PUBLIC AWARENESS ON INFORMATION SECURITY

A five-day Grundtvig Workshop on the Public Awareness of Information Security in the context of the European Lifelong Learning Programme.

The aim and the learning objectives

Grundtvig Workshops is a completely new form of mobility offered to adult learners through the Lifelong Learning Programme. The Workshops bring together individuals or small groups of learners from several countries, for an innovative multinational learning experience relevant to their personal development and learning needs.

Public Awareness of Information security is a five-day training workshop, based on learning by participation methodology, and dealing with the development of strategy of Information security during the workshop time. The potential participants are adult learners from all 27 EU member states, Iceland , Norway, Liechtenstein( the EFTA_EEA countries) and Turkey, from different, economic, social and cultural backgrounds

The project is expected to assist adult individuals to develop awareness of information security by experiencing activities in a safe and friendly atmosphere of the workshop.

The participants will be able to transfer in their own turn the new skills in their life and act as multipliers in the broad community, the NGO’s where they act as volunteers, etc.

The learning objectives

The workshop will be based on non-formal education, with particular emphasis on the learning by participation methodology and experiential learning. The training will consist of intense and short live activities with innovative materials, such as team work, role-playing, reporting, brainstorming, steam groups, feedback, etc. The everyday feedback procedures will be contributing to the evaluation of the project.

This workshop is a collabrote work with TÜBAV, ISA (information Security Association) and Gazi Üniversity.
